Its a big misconception, that ISLAM=PEACE.
Islam is the Arabic word which literally means “submission to the will of Allah(God)” (the root of which is Silm and Salam).
Salaam is the Arabic word which means peace.
However, Peace is attained through submitting to the will of Allah, in obidience and sincerity.

Absolutely right, many people have the misconception that ISLAM = PEACE
Rather SALAM = PEACE
Islam = Surrender, Submission, Obedience to Almighty Allah, in Sincerity and in PEACE.
